Explore next-level field parameters, delving into their intricacies, including understanding their differences from calculation groups, creating dynamic hierarchies, filtering models, and cycling through different combinations of fields within reports for enhanced visualization and user interaction.

Details of what you will learn during this video:

- Field parameters vs calculation groups
- Field parameters for simplicity, calculation groups for flexibility
- Using field parameters to switch between calculation groups
- Extending functionality with calculated columns
- Dynamic segmentation and filtering with field parameters
- Dynamic hierarchies and field cycling in reports
- Filtering measures based on field selections
- Advanced modeling for enhanced user experience

These are very interesting use cases of the utilization of field parameters.
Thank you very much for this video.
Even though its not that useful but the most interesting part was using your "random"-dice to generate different axis
Kind regards

So inciteful!!🎉 Thank you for expanding on what is possible! I will definitely use the column called "Name" in order to implement SELECTEDVALUE.
I am a member of EDNA and I would love to see the pbix to delve into it further, as there was a lot to digest. One question, is it possible to use field parameters in a matrix and then drill-through to a report page? I fear not but would like to confirm that.

I like this approach but I find myself using calculated tables and calculation groups to make sure my users have the same functionality in excel. Do you have experience in that approach?

Hi, are you able to share the file. I logged into EDNA and could not find it. Great video by the way, love the modeling techniques.
