Показать описание
A Lytton, B.C. woman finally got the news she'd been desperately waiting for after her family was split apart by the wildfire disaster. Norman Drynock, 65, is being hailed a hero after he defied evacuation orders in an effort to protect Indigenous land. As Robin Gill reports, his family is relieved to hear he's safe after no one had heard from him for 24 hours.
More than 150 wildfires are raging across British Columbia, most of which were sparked in recent days, following the province’s record heat wave. As Paul Haysom reports, the fires have more than 1,000 homes under evacuation orders.
In the wake of recent discoveries of more than 1,000 unmarked graves near residential schools, churches across Canada are becoming a target for vandalism and arson attacks. As Heather Yourex-West reports, at least 10 churches in Calgary were vandalized on Canada Day, and emotions are high.
A group of independent scientists in the United Kingdom, called Independent SAGE, says the government's race to lift COVID-19 restrictions is fuelling recent outbreaks. Crystal Goomansingh looks at the link between Euro2020, Wimbledon, and the surge of the Delta variant.
Canada's got basketball talent, but is it enough to send the men's team to the Olympics? As Eric Sorensen explains, the women’s team already has their ticket.
