Compared to the secular and religious courts of the time, and especially contrary to popular belief, the Spanish Inquisition was actually more just and progressive, not the other way around. Torture was never routinely employed, and execution was, in fact, the rarest form of punishment. And always gave the accused the opportunity to repent.


In its three and a half centuries of activity, historians estimate that the total number of executions ranged between 1, 500 and 5, 000. Religious persecutions in Great Britain, France, or Germany, which were far more brutal than the Spanish Inquisition.

The Inquisition was created in France and it worked in many countries but, they only speak about the Spanish one wich was rhe softest one. It is always the same lies.

One this this man didn't mention is that, Spain was just got its independence after 700 years of cruel and brutal colonization. Spain was ripped off their culture, tradition, language and religion and they were now starts to establish the new foundation of their Nation and completely erase the Culture and history of their oppressor and colonizer.
It was different time, and Spain did what was right for them.
