I don't care what anyone says, Renee deserved that Oscar. This is one of those cases where an actor truly BECOMES the biopic character they're playing. Even more impressive that Renee did her own singing and always made sure to pay tribute to Judy in her award speeches.

Love this movie so much, but it does make me sad that know of theses scenes truly recreate what exactly it looked like it, not even the costumes. I’m a sucker for when a biopic recreates costumes, and set pieces perfectly, it’s just cool to see when they do that. But I can understand why they didn’t do it here considering a lot of the original footage doesn’t have a lot to look at cinematically, but an attempt at wardrobe replication would have been nice. The scene with the dancers with feathers and shit is too pretty to true care about what I’m complaining about lol.
