I love cutting my own hair. I’ve been doing it for a few years now and it’s super satisfying. I totally agree with your strategy to cut a little bit at a time and adjust as you go. It’s better to cut less and then go shorter as you clean it up. My hair cut is usually rough the first day and then I adjust it a little bit at a time over the next two or three days so it looks good any way I style it. It takes a bit to get what you really want but it’s absolutely worth investing the time. I like that you point cut to add feathering at the end, kind of like layers, but it helps blend out any uneven areas while making it playful instead of too crisp. That’s my style too. It helps cover any choppy cuts or mistakes we might have made when doing the big chop portion of the haircut.
