In this video I'm going to show you how to sealcoat your driveway using a brush. You can do this fairly inexpensively without any expensive tools and without having to rent equipment or anything like that. This is super easy and goes quick as well.

If you have any questions or comments feel free to contact me

Thanks for watching

That kid in gray shirt wouldn't take his hands out of his pockets the whole time, must have caught a nice Pokémon that he didn't want to get away.

Hi. I appreciated the video. I started using that same brush when I sealed my driveway the last time and it worked very well. I also started walking in the sealer then brushing the footprints out. I had not done that before and it goes much quicker with that approach, rather than avoiding stepping in any of it. I just keep a couple pairs of shoes or boots for sealing only. One obvious thing with this driveway in the video is that it really needs to be replaced and sealing will do very little for it other than slight cosmetic help.

Can I ask why you didn't fill the holes on the upper right side of the drive? Great video.

My issue with sealcoating as DIY is the cost savings is not always that great when it comes to having a professional do it instead. I might spend $80 in sealer (excluding all the other equipment you need to purchase or should purchase). While I could get a pro that will come, edge, prep and seal for just $20 - $30 more, and it looks great. And they do it fast. Definitely skilled and its like they do it just so perfectly and quickly.

My other biggest issue is I cannot find professional grade sealcoating tools at the local big box store. I can't get a squeegee wider that 18 inches from there.

If you are able, can you refer to where we can easily purchase the same tools you are using. If we can find them at a local store, that is even better. Also, it would be nice to show how to take care of these tools after using them. Like how to clean them. I have been using the same squeegee for years now once I disciplined myself enough to clean it after using it.

I try to have a pro sealcoat my driveway if I remember in time to have the do it. Usually I forget and the schedule is so far out and variable because of weather, I just do it myself. If they were doing my neighbors driveway and stopped by and quoted me the going rate, I would have them do it right on the spot.

Nice work boys .. how do you clean your squeegees and brushes? After every job or do you just keep them wet until the end of the season? Thanks man

I've seen a lot of bad reviews for the store bought brands of sealcoat like Latex-ite, Black Jack, Henry and others. A lot of reviews where the product washes away with rain or starts peeling right up a few months. What do you recommend or what have you had the best experience with?

Does the brush leave line mark? And does the finish looks smooth after drying? Nice video BTW!

Hey I was wondering what sealer you use. I noticed that it's slightly brown and it reminds me of the sealer that SEALCOATINGISLIFE uses.

I don't see any differences, you just painted, all the defects is still on the driveway!!!!. What is the point from sealcoating?

I can tell that you were amateurs because you guys were all over the place because, you didn't have a system and no coordination. Everything was done haphazardly! When you spread sealant, you're supposed to go horizontally (side to side) from top to bottom, not going every which way you see fit. There was no uniformity during the application whatsoever. The edges around the driveway were supposed to sealed with a paint brush first (as a border), to prevent any unwanted sealant from going outside the perimeter of the driveway, such as the grass, sidewalk and in front and on the garage door. Also, not only you're supposed to seal the big cracks, but ALL the cracks regardless of how small they are, for the job to be done correctly. That's what the customers are paying you for, is to do the job and do it right.
