JFC You'd think these experts would have better advice instead of wasting 5 minutes of everyone's time here... Putting aside the possibility that dreams are potentially Qualia's playground in a universe that hasn't allowed it to mature to its final form yet, dreams seem to be a tool to process events we're either not cognizant of, or haven't paid enough attention to. A practical tool for solving problems in real-life is recalling your dreams and "re-dressing" them as an idiom. Your brain loves to talk in idioms; "Don't beat around the bush, Kill two birds with one stone, etc."

If you can recall your dream, no matter how surreal it is, then re-context it using an idiom, you'll often find the subject matter is relevant to whatever you're currently going through in real-life. The dream either acts as an indicator for something you should be paying more attention to, or even a solution to how you should try resolving this problem.

Hi
Is there any correlation between being cold while sleeping and nightmares?
For instance 9 out of 10 times if I get cold during sleep I would get most violent nightmares nothing to do with my profession I don’t suffer PTS as far as I know yet when I am cold in my sleep I am getting nightmares and it’s mostly vampires, they other chasing me and cornering me, or looking at me licking they fangs.
You ask me if I believe they exist, I would say no, I don’t watch horror movies well once or twice but not my favourite genre, still if you ask me to take stroll in the evening on the graveyard I would say no.
So what’s wrong with me???
Thanks
