Normal sudoku rules apply. Cages show their sums. The number to the left of a black dot and the two numbers to the right of that dot will form a valid time, treating the black dot as the ':' on an electric clock.

14:23, agree with others that it is kind of a weird constraint. I just wrote in 1-5 to the right of every dot, then commenced with regular sudoku.

37:44 I liked the puzzle but I thought it was a bit weird of a way to describe the rules, when, unless I am missing something the only consequence of the rule is that the cells to the right of a dot are no higher than 5.

23:49 for me, which is not bad for the amount of interruptions by hungry kids I had! Quite fun, though I wish the "time" constraint had had more effect than it did.

This is the first CTC puzzle I've done with zero help from watching the video. Normally I have to solve along with the video pausing as I go, but I managed to break into the logic and between the simple time constraint and the killer sudoku cages all being 12 and resulting in a similar constraint, it was pretty straightforward to get rolling. 26:03 for me.

This was very enjoyable as a puzzle and as a video. Thanks, Mark, for this. I liked the use of a black dot for something other than what it usually signifies, as it shakes up the brain a bit. The limitation only on the digit to the immediate right of the dot also caused a full stop - just to be sure that the constraint meant what I thought it meant. This was a straightforward puzzle (after a bit of attention was given to the constraints) and shows that an easy puzzle with a lot of information given and a novel constraint can be very fun. Not everything has to be air-tight and fully pared down to its essentials to be worthwhile.
