A great tip I was told about for cutting the CNC tabs is to use a trim router with a 1/8 inch flush trim bit. It not only cuts the tabs, but it also trims off the tab leaving a perfectly smooth edge, all in one motion.

I am almost done with a 16 ft strip canoe . I ordered plans and scaled them up and built jig. I have two layers of 6 Oz glass and resin on out side. I need to roll out probably 2 more coats of resin and then I'm done with outside. Me and my wife have been high end carpenters and she was awesome on the fiberglass and epoxy. This canoe looks awesome I went on my own on with the wood working it's different and cool.

You really only need to fair the wood one time.
