Matej was robbed. 2 completely different tricks Both scoring 48 but they say it was too similar. Doesn’t sit right with me.

What's weird is matej got 2 48s, meaning that they decided that two nosebutter 19 variations were too similar, but alex hall won with a 1980 seatbelt and a 2160 seatbelt. I think this is gonna cause some rule changes, because where do you draw the line between similar tricks?

These rules are ruining the sport, a lot of athletes like matej got robbed, the judges said that the trick with an added 180 would count as the same trick and matej was a whole flip less with a totally different grab, so it was kinda rigged as Alex hall won with a 1980 seatbelt and a 2160 seatbelt.
Please change the rules as they are ruining the progression of this sport. matej got robbed.

For me Alex did almost the same trick with the only diference that one was on forword and the other beginning in swithch and with an extra 180 (Stiller insane tricks buscas too similar). However Matej was doing two forword nosebutters but totally diferent tricks in the air, and they counted it as the same trick. I think that shouldn't be like that, they have to change the rules.

The judging of matej was clearly a judge mistake:
1) they gave him 37 pts for the butter double 16
2) then they gave 48 points for butter triple 18 already counting as 2 different jumps
3) as he makes a clearly improvement on his first jump with a butter double 19 he doesnt get more points.

To clarify since a lot of people don’t seem to understand:

No, it wasn’t a quad. Tom called it wrong, third “cork” wasn’t actually a distinct change in axis and was just a continuation of the second cork. The one that matej fell on, that was a proper quad, but he fell.

The robbery for matej was on his nosebutter double cork 1980 getting scored astronomically low.

Alex Hall won because he landed a worlds first and Matej was close but he never stomped a clean one, just a triple cork with a wobble in the second cork.

Again, Matej was scored unfairly, but also, he didn’t land a worlds first. Hope this helps.
