Lumbar Lateral Stenosis or Foraminal Stenosis refers to the narrowing of the intervertebral foramen, a small hole through which nerves exit the spinal canal and travel through the body. As foraminal narrowing begins to compress the nerves, various foraminal stenosis symptoms such as pain, numbness, pins and needles or a tingling sensation, and weakness may be felt. If you have foraminal stenosis in your lower back you will feel symptoms in the buttocks, legs, and feet.

My MRI says I have bilateral neural foraminal stenosis L5 S1 with compression on the left nerve whixh is causing numbness in my left leg. I also have LLD due to my left hip being hiked up. I don't have any disc bulges or degenerative disease. Could the stenosis be caused by the hip hike causing the compression?
