The cotton cordell super spot and bill lewis rat l trap is the reason every major bait company has made a lipless crank bait lol. The super spot is a legendary old school lure.

When doing budget baits that catch always have to get the yum dingers and i love a gp chartreuse tail or caorlina pumpkin chartreuse tail. They seem to work everywhere lol

Ok Larry bud when you snag a turtle especially in the mouth pull him up so the neck is fully extended then he cant lundge and bite you. Keep fingers out of mouth but shake the hook loose (best with pliers). If hes snagged drag him to the bank and on it, come from behind him to pin him to the ground with shell then pop out the hook. But dont i mean dont get in reach of a snapping turtles mouth lol. Always extend the neck when mouth hooked though remember that part lol. Ive caught thousands on rod and reel lol. Ive caught more than thay in turtle traps. I use to trap them in the lake i manage.

When I troll to spots like that when I first launch I always troll a crank bait or swim bait and 50% of the time I get one
