China deployed planes and ships to encircle Taiwan on Monday, in drills Beijing said were aimed at sending a "stern warning" to "separatist" forces on the self-ruled island.

Beijing has not ruled out using force to bring Taiwan under its control and Monday's drills represent its fourth round of large-scale war games in the past two years.

In my opinion, if war break out between Communist Mainland China and Nationalist Taiwan, this time, Nationalist Taiwan will not be as lucky as in 1949.
In the late 1949, the defeated Nationalist Chinese army led by the great leader General Chiang Kai Sheik, escaped to the island of Taiwan, bringing hope of retaking back Mainland China when the time is right.
After 75 long years, Taiwan government hope of retaking back Mainland China seems remote and hopeless. More and more countries recognizes Taiwan as a province of China.
Hence, Taiwan island should now seek peaceful reunification with Mainland China.
After all, Taiwanese and mainland Chinese belongs to a great nation called Motherland China.
