No, Your Teammates AREN'T Holding You Back | ROCKET LEAGUE

Solo queue teammates can be unpredictable and hard to win with. In this tutorial, I go over 5 solo queue mistakes to avoid so that you can solo carry your games.

🔹20 yrs old: Developed company and continued to scale course business. Eventually, I dropped out of school to pursue Youtube and the company full-time.
🔹22 yrs old: @Virge joined as director of coaching to further improve the coaching experience and help us make more free Rocket league content that is accessible to everyone.

Today: Coaching is how we make our money - not youtube videos or courses.

That moment when your toxic teammate flames you for having a low scoreboard but it's cause they won't rotate and keep going for every ball in the opponents corner and you are just waiting for them to get dunked on so you can shadow.

Great tips! Here are the 4 B's that I use: Ball -> Bump -> Boost -> Back-post
Repeat those, usually in order, and never spend too much time on any one of them before moving to the next.

It’s not my teammates fault when he’s literally playing against me own goaling on purpose and saving my shots cause I missed one ball 😂

To the end of the video. My Favorite RL 2s situation.

Teammate hits ball center where opponents are. I rotate back to protect goal cause he hit it to them.

Teammate spams “Take the shot!” As they are bouncing around in the opponents corner or goal and left me in a 2v1.

Then spam “What A Save!”

Gotta love solo queue 2s.

As a hardstuck diamond, I would also like to say not many players drastically adapt their playstyle. Don't keep centering the ball for them if they weren't there for the last three passes. They want the back boost, they can have the back boost lol

Spend the beginning of the game working out the other players play styles and adapt. This is your team mates AND your opponents. Everyone plays differently around the field so it's important to gauge what they like to do as soon as you can so you can make informed decisions.

The best tip is understanding that lower ranked players do not expect you to have a second or third touch on a ball so they will go next (which is bad by itself) thinking that you’ve finished your turn and then it results in a huge whiff by them bc you’ve hit the ball again. I notice this a lot when I was solo qing through C1 and C2

Just like to say that I just started playing this game, finding it incredibly difficult to climb in 2v2 and 3v3 because MY TEAMMATES ARE IN DEED HOLDING ME BACK! When its a 1v3 or 2v3 cause you teammate quits or has 700 ping and lags out its safe to say they are holding you back.

You're wrong Luke, I do everything you say, and still stuck, these idiots will literally bump me out of the way on defense, and then get scored on, you take a slow touch they cut you off and go for ball, you pass them the ball they're nowhere to be found...I can keep going.

I like these, this is stuff I'm usually doing when I rank up. The one or two touch idea I think moved me from d2 to c1 singlehandedly. I always called it the "just because you can hit the ball doesn't mean you should" rule though

I'm around low gc1 and I just got this season's gc rewards easily, pretty much thanks to putting those tips/reminders into play. especially to always stay prepared for the worst outcome and not go for any risky challenges before my teammate is back makes a world of a difference

Trust me Luke they do hold me back they aren't even on my team I can't solo with them saving the ball from the other net or missing a ball roll save 😭

No you are wrong. What can a player do if the mates always leaves? Or doesnt play at all? Or a player who is completely boosted? Yeah this is not my fault if i lose in ranked.

Yea already do these but my team just usually aren’t as good as they supposed to be in as the their rank😑
And usually end up having to wait till I get the opportunity to score
