He said "Please present you blade" to everyone but Jimbo... there it was "please present your 'work'" lmao

If Ryu was there, he would choose the 500 bucks but would make jelly roll damascus.

Jimbo didn't surrender a blade...he surrendered an angular slab of steel

This should be a staple, good way to balance high-tech and low-tech, balance of skill, material quality and tool usage

Really liked this concept. Would love to see more of this.

I have anxiety issues so I was totally sympathizing with Colette. Glad Gladen moved ahead- he didn't come off as very experienced.

Jimbo and Matt get points for just stubbornness. Absolute minimal resources except for effort.

I don’t really watch the show anymore I just basically catch clips but I can tell you stuff like this makes it interesting prime example of jack of all trades master of none nobody’s truly a master You’re always learning something new if not you’re dead

2:31 I know that around ~20 years ago, Congress seems to have passed that law that all new babies legally had to be given names that rhyme with “-aden” (Jaydon, Caden, Aiden, Braedan, etc etc)… but “Glayden” is a variation I’d never heard of before this episode haha

Real life forging. You can be a skilled blade smith, but something like Big Blue is cost prohibitive.

Gimmicks like this got old quick. It took the level playing field to see who was really the best right out of the equation.

Forged in Fire is usually based on the Chopped cooking show. This time it is based on Cut-Throat Kitchen.

It amazes me that non of the forgers can actually put down a nice weld

Funny how these clips bring out the Ryu fanbois. "If Ryu had been there, he wiuld have forged a blade from just his steely gaze. " "Ryu would have heated his billet just by holding it against his chest." "Ryu would have forged the metal with his bare hands." "Ryu would have quenched his blade just by blowing on it."

Should have spun that as a pizza cutter

It is just ridiculous how many of these smith's can't use a mig welder.
