I am finding it hard to find sympathy, guys. Now you know what the reality is for users of assistive technology who have to put up with this sort of thing routinely. Only, for us, , it can result in disaster when a developer breaks functionality because that software can make the difference between using the technology which can level our societal playing field or exclude us completely. At least this change isn't going to stop people using their software, or cut off their options, or prevent them using their equipment completely — as happens to us more often than you may think.
