Hi Tony, 10 meters one of my favourite bands, re working FM simplex if your new to it is watch how low you change frequency from the calling frequency or you'll be in the repeater inputs.

Love the South Americans on 28.410-28.460 on Saturday and Sunday.
Got to love those guys. Many live in the middle of nowhere with a home built tower and diy beam running off battery and solar panels.
But they always have 400-1000 watts. 😂

I'm on 10 most of the day in FT-4 or 8. Working the world easily with 25 watts. Best to use it while the band is improving.

is it worth just having 10m during solar minimum?

10m is a great band. With an old Icom 735 and cheap Outback 1899 antenna, I can make DX with USA, Israel or even South Africa from Poland. I mostly operate as a mobile station. Raports 5/7. The distance is up to 10.000km 😮

You said the 10m splits TX/RX are 100Hz?
100KHz is correct.

Nice video, but one huge omission. You forgot the AM window from 29.000 to 29.100!
