OTT On Drums? | Bring Your Drums To Life | FL Studio Tutorial

Hello Broducers!

In this video we'll take a look how OTT help us to make our drums more bright, more tight in the mix. For this we'll use a simple drum loop. At first the loop will be untouched, and second I'll apply some OTT in my drum elements such as claps, shakers, percs. Then we'll compare them and see which one sounds better.

Btw, you should be carefull about the amount of OTT. If you use it too much your mix could be overcompressed. So I suggest you to use it wisely.

You missed out on an important part: If you increase the time knob you will allow more transients to pass through, and make the compression sound less drastic :)

I know its been 2 years but just a tip, you can right click on the top right arrows to load the low cut preset in the parametric eq. Saves you one click.

I would suggest mixing the kick in an independent channel

yeahh but now we dont hear the difference that well bcs on the ott mix the stuff are louder
