Modded PS Vita: What can it do?

In a previous Video i talked about what reasons (if any) would make the PS Vita a good purchase in 2021. One of the reasons i stated were in the context of if you decided to mod the console. But what exactly can you do with a Modded PS Vita? What are the benefits? In this video im going to take a quick walk around my Modded PS Vita and show why if you have one or are thinking of getting one, you may want to mod it also.

Honestly, if you want to get a Vita, now is probably the best time to do so. It's a great handheld with a lot of capabilities and I don't imagine the prices will get much lower.

The fact that you've mentioned and encouraged the use of PKGj and Sony still hasn't taken this video down over a year later (unless PKGj is down now) makes it clear that Sony has fully abandoned this console. A sad realization with hope to what the future of homebrew will hold.

You forgot 1 thing: psvita has excellent full-fledge physical buttons. Many Chinese retro handheld have low quality physical buttons. As a retro handheld, psvita is a champion.

I'm glad I have my Vita, it's still pretty much mint condition and I decided to mod it awhile ago and I have no regrets

Found an almost CIB one (missing memory stick) for $100 the other day. Really excited to mod it when it arrives. I’m a Nintendo person, but I enjoy this layout a lot better than the 3DS XL. Excited to use it for retro emulation on the go

The ONLY thing stopping me from buying one is the current price. If I see one for a reasonable price that looks like it’s been in good hands, I will not hesitate.

Counterpoint to the smartphone thing: It's kind of hard to beat using an actual game console for your emulation. Yes smartphones are VERY good at it, but a lot of the controllers for smartphones are just wonky. I haven't found a decent one that fits with my Note 20 yet. They're all too small.

Really happy I managed to grab a first model oled vita. Was super lucky found it for 85 dollars in basically mint condition it was just a little dirty but after I cleaned it was brand new. Got the console a screen, protector, the original charger, and a case for it. Got a mad steal glad I found it before some reseller

I've modded it to Henkaku/Enso and am currently awaiting delivery of my SD2VITA and 256GB SD card.
It was a great bargain and the Vita is great for my use case, retro gaming.

I have mine since 2012. What a beautiful system Sony made. I still have it but I use it for Remote Play most of the times.

I got my Vita for the equivalent of 10$ although it is pretty banged up and scratched but still an awesome deal in my opinion
