I had both. I'll be putting Wildpeak AT3W on my trucks/suvs from now on. The KO2 slipped in the rain like crazy. The AT3W is quieter, grippier, and doesn't slip in the rain.

Watched this through and whilst there is a good description of the tyres, I was disappointed there wasn't actually any comparison of their relative performance.

I've had a set of both these tires, i'd pick the Wildpeak's all day. I noticed bad hydroplaning with the bfg's, and they wore out quicker, get the Falken's folks.

I've had both tires on my Ram. Snow and ice are my primary concerns and I can honestly say the Wildpeaks are by far better. I liked them so much that I threw a set on my Yukon too.

I had BFG's on my '93 Grand Cherokee and thought they were quite good over all. I now have a 2019 4Runner with Wildpeaks and they are excellent. I think they are superior on road especially in rain/snow. The BFG's were a little better off road. This is my personal experience with two different vehicles years apart.

I have had KO's and KO2's and like them both. The KOs came on a 1991 Jeep Wrangler my wife bought for me back in 2014, only drive it around 3k a year. KO's are holding up great taken them to Pismo beach CA and Borrego Springs CA. Never driven KO's in snow or rain, they do great in sand and rock. My wife drives a 2015 4Runner been throught 2 sets of KO2's had two flats one nail and one railroad spike. I drive a 2017 Sequoia and put KO2's on it, love the look of the KO2's all sets have lasted over 50k. The only real off roading I do is fire roads and dirt. May have to give the Wildpeaks a try, thanks guys!!!

I have the KO2s on my lifted 2012 Yukon XL.
I use it for deer, moose and bear hunting every year and they are awesome tires. Several of my buddies get stone punctures each year and i have not. My buddies are all slowly switching to KO2s as they seem to be the best tiers for actual hard coditions like sharp blasted rocks hidden in the mud and snow. I also tow and load them up with big weight, with no floating or handling issues. My wife sometimes daily drives around town in bad weather throughout the year and they are quiet with excellent wear. Very happy with them.

I’ve had both tires on my trucks and the Falken Wildpeaks out performed the KO2s in wet roads snow and mileage. Both sets were the same size, same air pressure same everything.

I own a Gen 1 Hennessey Raptor and had the KO2 tires. I went with AT3W Falken tires to try out and absolutely love them!
These Falken tires have much more cornering grip on dry and wet pavement, my speeds through the turns are much faster on Blacktop and dirt roads.
The very weekend I put these tires on my Raptor we had a pretty good blizzard in Colorado, I absolutely took it for a proper test drive up in the Rocky Mountains for around 3 hours, absolutely Blown Away by their performance in the fresh snow, hard pack, and ice.
I've had these Falken tires about 2 and 1/2 years with almost 55, 000 miles on them right now, and they still look pretty good!
Also on acceleration these tires hook up much better on Blacktop with less tire spin.
There are other tires I would like to try but with how good these have been I'm not sure I want to try another brand.

I’ve had both. The Falken’s had way more grip in wet and snow conditions and they were more quiet on the road. It was a better tire for performance. The BFG’s had a harder compound and lasted longer on the road.

Either way you go, both tires are at the top!

Bought a set of Wildpeaks from 4WP and love them. They ride smooth and quiet and handle wonderfully. Played around in some snow with no problems and got them for less than $1000 installed.

I got Falken on my T100 SR5 for 3 years now and I still jave like 75% life tread left.
They have performed fantastically in the wet/snow conditions of WA. Then I moved down to SoCal and they have work excellent on the desert/dunes.

Just spent 3 weeks abusing my KO2s.
High speeds on the highways for 10 hrs at a time for over 4600 miles carrying my heavy rig in comfort and quiet. I ran my 04 Yukon XL up a mine road made of blasted rock and the KO2s were superb. Great traction and shifted direction on the blast rock like I was on pavement.
Did trails in Moab, and high altitude mining “roads” in Ouray and they never gave me issues.
They Run super quiet and get the job done no matter the surface.
They do cake up on thick mud, but still had enough grip to get my heavy rig out of trouble.
I’ll buy these til they stop making them.

I currently have a 2002 F250SD with the 6.8L v10, Being born and raised at Lake Tahoe I have had 4X4's for over 50 years. Early days running Firestones in the 60's & 70's then switching to BFG's as they were great in the deep snow. Recently the guy at the tire shop I have been going to for 30 years talked me into the Falken A/T Wildpeak's, size 35X12.50R17LT, I have only 2, 000 miles. Currently live in Southern California so haven't had them in the snow yet. In the rain I have hydroplane issues and these are by far the loudest tires I have ever had on my trucks. People can hear me from blocks away, you would think I had mudders on the truck. I would love to go back to the BFG's as for me they are the best tire for my truck that weighs over 6, 100lbs.

Just bought a new set of the Falken AT3 Wildpeaks for my 4Runner. Loved the first set and got almost 55k out of them on and off-road with hard driving. They not only look badass they are badass! Was able to go without chains in snow and icy roads with no problem. Definitely recommend these especially for the money.

I love my KO2 from BFG. I purchased my first set for my, 2000XJ in 2010. When we bought the Jeep. With a hundred and twenty thousand on the Jeep. Since then we have driven the XJ across country from Fl., to Ut, Nv, Ca., and all points in between.wheeling in all the states we traveled to. Everything from mud, snow, ice, sand, and rocks. We are on our 4th set of BFG KO2 now. Still in the same XJ. With over three hundred thousand on it. Thank you for the comparison it was informative on understanding something’s about tires I was not aware of. It would have been a bit more helpful to know how they stacked up in different driving situations. At 68 years old I believe I will be sticking with my KO2 tires. They have never let me down.

K02s on my Jeeps and Ram. Excellent tire. No experience with the Falkens. I have no reason to change. Perfectly satisfied.

AT3W all day long. Mine have lasted 3 years with timely rotations. Great in the snow. Make just noticeable noise. Highly recommend tire and affordable! 👍
