A man in South Korea who opened a plane door mid-air causing panic onboard as wind rushed through the cabin, has been arrested.

All 194 passengers survived the Asiana Airlines flight which was travelling from the popular holiday island of Jeju, to Daegu, some 148 miles south of the capital, Seoul, but about a dozen were taken to hospital after fainting or having breathing difficulties.

The plane was about 250 metres above the ground when a door on the left-hand-side was thrown open. Videos circulating on social media showed people clinging to the armrests of their seats, their hair flying and clothes flapping in the wind.

Putting people's lives in danger. He needs to be arrested for attempted murder and twenty years in prison

To clarify some misinformation, the man in the red pants was not the one who opened the door, it was the person on his left side which the video didn't capture

So, during the approach, he got up, strolled over to the door and opened it, and no one, including the cabin crew, tried to stop him; that's what I call being too polite.

Someone said to me that it's impossible to open the door mid flight due to the air pressure? Am I missing something or what?

I would have thought these doors are safety locked to prevent this (doors to manual on landing) This could have been a disaster

I’m a bit concerned this has been reported on. There are a lot of sickos in the world and I’m worried we’re going to see copycat incidents.

I was hoping the man that open the door flew out. Justice would’ve been served.
