i have a question!

"the component of a solution that's in greater amount" is a solvent

in the scenario:
if you have 100 grams of sugar and a small amount of water, say 5ml.

the water will still dissolve the sugar, but there is still a "greater amount" of sugar.

would the water still be the solvent even though it isn't the component that is in greater amount?
