Ans:
1) Solute is a substance that is dissolved in a solvent to form a solution.
Solvent is a substance that dissolves the Solute to form a solution.

2) The quantity of a solute is less than a solvent in a solution.
The quantity of solvent is more than a solute in a solution.

3) Solute might exists in solid, liquid or gaseous state.
Solvent usually exists in liquid state.

4) solute has high boiling point than solvent. Solvent has low boiling point than solute.

5) In a solution, heat is transferred to a solute.
In a solution, heat is transferred from the solvent.
