To solve the equation in the thumbnail: Elimination method - multiply equation 1 by 4, multiply equation 2 by 3, add the equations to eliminate the Y term, solve for X, then use either equation 1 or 2 to obtain Y. X = 1.348 and Y = -0.565.

I always choose the easier method to solve a system. It all depends on the system. In some instances, elimination method would be the most efficient method
