Terrified New York City commuters trapped with live shooter as fight gets out of control

Terrified New York City commuters were left trapped in a carriage with a live shooter when a fight got out of control on Thursday during rush hour.

The shooting, which left one man in critical condition after being shot in the head, occurred around 4:45pm when a 32-year-old man was confronted by an "aggressive" 36-year-old rider after boarding the train.

The shooting is the latest incident in a series of high-profile assaults on commuters and transit workers on New York City subways that have left three dead this year alone.

Just over a week ago Kathy Hochul, New York's Democratic Governor, deployed 750 national guard members to the subway network in an attempt to crack down on crime.

The rush hour incident started as a verbal dispute between the passengers but escalated quickly into a fight as the train left Nostrand Avenue station in Brooklyn.

I live in NYC. There are multiple videos posted online by people who were actually on the train at the time. BM randomly starts to harrass a L*tino man on a train car during evening rush hour, they start fighting, and BM had not pulled out his gun at that time. Girlfriend of L*tino pulls out a knife & stabs Blk man in the back multiple times while he & her boyfriend are fist fighting, blood runs down BM back (I saw it in the videos), yet she denies stabbing him. Then the Blk man pulls out a gun after he is stabbed, points it at the L*tino, and they fight again. L*tino man manages to get the gun out of his hand during the struggle & shoots the Blk man in the head on the train. This world is CRAZY 😵‍💫! The BM was absolutely acting ignorant, yet I wonder had the girlfriend not stabbed him multiple times in the back, would he have ever pulled the gun out🤔? Considering it was the BM gun, if his intention was to shoot regardless, he would have likely pulled it out at the BEGINNING of him harassing the L*tino male. NYC Mayor Adams & Governor Hochul need to stop saying NYC is one of the safest places in the world...they are saying that because they know tourists are crucial to NYC. On the SAME day this happened, a woman was shot in the hip on a public bus in another part of NYC by a guy who was harassing her.
