Is Elder Scrolls Online Worth Subscribing to? - (My Thoughts)

What are the perks of subscribing to Elder Scrolls Online? Is the game Pay to Win? Is it better to remain a Free to Play player? These sorts of questions and more have been thrown at me ever since I started making content for Elder Scrolls Online. So in this video, I wanted to address them, give the best answers possible, and even create a few chuckles along the way. And yes, for those of you wondering: We're making more ESO content on this channel going forward! This game is too good to not show it some more love.

04:47 I think you misspoke there, you do not need ESO+ to dye your armor, you only need it to dye your Costumes. I think that´s what you meant but calling them "Armor sets" might be a tad confusing.

I play ESO since quite a while casually and here's my experience:
- 500h of playing this game;
- solo player most of the time, listening to the quests and Roleplaying;
- I bought the expansions only in massive sales (50% or more off, still waiting for Elsweyr);
- Never done one single subscribe ever;

I'm one of those who subbed for the extra bag space. 10/10 would do it again. The game in general is amazing, but I love the crafting in it. It's what I used to love about World of Warcraft until they ripped the heart and soul out of crafting in that game. It's also one of the things I love about FFXIV. So, yeah... the other stuff is great, but the crafting adds so much to the game that subbing just makes sense.

I've played subbed and un-subbed. Both are viable; but I like the crowns stipend, housing decor slots, and the materials bag. So I stay subbed.
But as you put it, it's not pay to win and you can effectively play free to play

The best advice i've seen for subbing/not subbing is that if you enjoy the game sub until atleast you have enough crown points to purchase the various story/quest DLCs and chapters in the store. This way if you unsub you still have access to all the content.

There is no free2play player in eso(exept for the duration of a free2play event) you buy the game so buy2play and then you may upgrade to eso+

So basically the more DLCs get released, the more valuable the subscription becomes, assuming you haven't played before.

I enjoy this game, a lot, it's an incredable experience and I'm also subscribed to it, it's not bank breaking if you got a good job, and I even got a couple homes, one in Wayrest which is my Guild Hall and the one you get when doing the Pisic(Or whatever) order as my private castle, it a fun game to jump on explore or do whatever is your hearts desire, it's worth it guys.

Played ESO for almost a year as premium member, raided, did it all. Very good game and I fully get why it's so popular. Definitely NOT P2W but definitely IS Pay to look MARVELOUS!!. LOL! Only reason I left was because Blizz introduced Classic, otherwise I'd still be playing ESO. Oh, and player housing in ESO is HUUUUGE. The joke is that player housing in ESO is the End Game. It's what players compete in, more than raiding, and there's truth to that. Nixxiom may not be into it, but practically everyone in ESO is hardcore into it.

Ah young padawan you’ve convinced me. I’d bought ESO for PS4 and then my Tv broke. So I haven’t played ESO in a while but now my job is starting to pay better...sooo I do believe I will buy it And subscribe just so I can get all the campaigns. I wanna see summerset and skyrim have for the longest time and can’t wait to go back especially since retail wow got so boring. So my two main games will be classic and ESP soon enough

Hey Nixxiom as I personally enjoy playing ESO with out subbing to them cause it's been honestly more fun and enjoying to play and not rush through the game and of course I used to sub but that was long time ago and still enjoy the game from time to time so glad to hear your thoughs on eso and the great things you talked about it as well, I also hope that you also enjoyed the Halloween style on ESO :)
