They were called Ligers, although the other has been so called. But that doesn't explain the black lion. Beautiful. Black Mane-coon cats look a lot like that though. That's not one, but it would be cool.

Elder asked if Wolf 'stopped & looked' at me, when I said yes he was fuming, "they are getting used to us, & will start attacking". 3 years later Coyote Attacks on Humans started.

Saw Domestic CAT with Physical Appearance of a LYNX:- Pointy ears with Hair, Tall with Short body for a feline, House Colours, Over Half size to Lynx. I saw about 6 on different occasions roaming, Tropical style in Kuching, Sarawak, Borneo. Old Batu-Kawa Shopping area - 2 behind Laundromat. Asked if Lynx was crossed with Cat during Colonisation but no one knew. Britain actually Parachuted Cats into India for Rat infestation: Rats killed them all. Not Jesting.
