I’ve been loving dips, went from doing 7 reps at the beginning of this year to 16 today

The pump from dips is crazy! When I jog back home from the park after pumping out high reps dips, my pecs feel like they're jiggling.
Sounds a bit sus, but that's what it is.

Never thought of this but it makes sense and the chest is like the glutes on the squat

Weighted lengthened partial dips with a pause at the bottom and only locking out at the top once you start feeling fatigue after 7 or 8 reps is amazing for your shoulders and chest

High key one of the best bench press accessory movements you can do.
Hits the chest, delts and triceps all at the same time as well as being an open chain exercise which tends to have great carry over to the closed chained ones as well.

Given the distinction based on your conditioning between your clavicular fibers and your sternal fibers as well as the great separation of your front delts, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I think when you do dips in that manner you are doing a great job of hitting the entire pack and not just the lower portions because the stretch you get in the front doors and the clavicular fibers is very extreme and a stretch under load according to my understanding is the most hypertrophic portion of any movement although there are better choices for upper chest obviously I'm going to say the dip performed with a full range of motion if your anthropometry permits you can do it this way place tremendous stretch on your upper fibers and your front belts under a load if you are doing the dips weighted or if your body weight is pretty heavy this makes for a great overall upper body push exercise it's going to nail your triceps your front delts and your entire pectoral musculature. In addition in addition there's a lot of action in the upper back and also the upper back is not necessarily a prime mover it is playing a role as an antagonist antagonist that's that means a stabilizer

Only able to do dips starting this year.
Love the movement. Definitely my current go to chest exercise.
