I just got my brand new car from dealershop. Yesterday marten bit off cord in my engine and now I need to repeair my car. I am so mad that I would just rip its head off on the spot

we have at least two in the roof during winter for last three years, we have one of these big traps, going to try the egg, the fishy pellets that came with trap did not work, but I think our trap was not in best location. also sealed up area they were getting in, a real big stink mess of dead animals, a lot of pidgeons. They make a terrible mess. I live in Slovakia, if I catch these two bstrds they will find themselves on a trip Hungry 😆

Sounds very nice and practical to 'free' a marten somewhere where it won't bother you, then you feel your conscience is clear. There's a couple of problems with that though: A) Many martens do not survive a relocation (you are dropping it in some other marten's territory). B) Should the marten survive, it will try to return to it's own territory. C) If you caught it between March and July/August, and it is a female, you are sentencing the pups to die. D) This marten has a mate (yes, they do live as couples, contrary to popular belief), and you just disrupted this family. E) Even if this marten does not return, another will fill the void in no time, and you gained nothing from this exercise.
The right thing to do is to put your car in the garage, and secure your house (outside of breeding season, not while there are pups). You could even consider providing some 'more appropriate' shelter options (as opposed to your attic) for the marten (after you secure your house). Then you and the martens can live in peace, and they will rid your property of excess mice, rats etc.

Some of these cute little devils have attacked and killed a panda and other animals for sport! Don't know if I would let them go anywhere close to where I would have any livestock, better off getting rid of them for good!
