Building and Installing a Marten Set

In this video I show you how to properly install a horizontal marten box on the line including the finer details for increased production. Later in the video I show how to assemble a marten box using 1 inch rough lumber and a screw gun.

Excellent video Jim. I saw you post pictures of this style box a few years ago. Ever since then I have been changing out all my existing ones for this type. I put the wire mesh on the back though.

I really like them.

When the tree gets to big and starts flaring the box I just chainsaw off one of the 2 back pieces

I like the design and functionality Jim. Wanting to switch out my plastic boxes which do work well. Curious, do the squirrels not eat the bait? I wonder about a screen in the back and using another screen with compression fit to protect bait?
