SIMPLE, EASY DIY Live Animal Trap!

Super simple live animal trap for racoons, opossums, skunks, cats, whatever fits! Completley made out of scrap wood and leftover hardware cloth and hinges. The animal simply walks in, baited by some food, steps on the trigger ramp, and the door shuts. Will update description when I start to trap some animals. Good luck!

I like your trap design better than the others I've seen on here. Using a different carry handle design I saw elsewhere, but my build is basically a copy of yours. Can't wait to try it out on the ferals and strays that a neighbor lady feeds, then they use my property as their litter box. Thank you very much.

Looks great! I already have a good sized small animal cage (Guinea pig / rabbit cage) so I think I just need to make the drop down door and trigger. I’ll figure out a way to fasten the vertical dado cut pieces to the outside of the cage. Very nice design, thanks!

Nice job I made one just like it 30"x15"x15" I was thinking of also putting the mesh on top so maybe animals would feel less confined and leery of entering trap and I did soon after setting up caught a pesky feral cat moved it far away where a woman feeds them.

Stray cats are catching my chicks but I don't want to harm them so I just thought to catch them and release somewhere far from my chickens. That'll do the work. Thanks for the video

Bought a medium trap at HF, not to bash them but the feral cat that I wanted to have fixed got out within 10 minutes. Think it is time to make this trap.

I put a little lcd 6” tv in mine with animal planet and a full liquor bar. Keeps them cozy.

This may sound stupid but whenever I take them somewhere else to let them go I try to leave them with some food and a little bit of water also so they can get used to their new environment. But that is just me
