the good customers are the ones that are open to hearing you out.
lead with a smile, and open arms. never cross your arms and legs. body signals and posture makes a huge difference.
You want to show signs that you can be trusted, you also want to show that you are here to help them more than you want to profit. Happier customers lead to gossip, and gossip leads to more sales. Profits will come in time, make sure that your initial rates are low, because low initial rates are profitable in the long run. Pretend that the low initial rates are paid marketing to your first customer. (i.e. high initial principle - advertising = lower initial principle). Keeping that in mind, low rates attract people, then slight increase in rates for other customers will help you. It's better to be busy and active, than inactive to make big bucks from few customers.

How about for new No or little sales experience hires/ Junior positions...those that will be groomed internally. How does one spot the best candidate during the interview? what other questions would you ask in this scenario.

People can lie and get away from these questions if you ask me, I would rather look at their interests, personality and their ambitions as main drivers in selecting a candidate
