I also struggle with a flaky scalp. The biggest thing that helped me was using grease. Specifically, the blue magic mega-grow. I also made sure that I was not allergic to the product I was using. I think that many people forget that the scalp is also skin and don't take into account the possibility of being allergic to a certain product. Finally I routinely deep conditioned my hair. I do every other week but find what works for you. And I would make sure my hair was moisturized before putting it in protective styles. One more thing sorry this is long but I would test product compatibility before putting it in my hair. So I would rub together whatever products I was using in my hand and if it turned white I knew it would flake and if it was clear it didn't. I hope this helps! Also, love the energy in your videos.

I wash my hair once a week. But I’ve been making sure I prepoo, deep condition with oil, and finally end with doing a apple cider rinse and that seems to be helping the dry scalp and flaking. So far so good with trying this method for a month

Sulphur 8 is fantastic. I couldn’t use grease or any type of product on my scalp for a long time because they exacerbated the itching and flakes. But having no product didn’t really solve my dry scalp issue and it became a big inconvenience. I was just about to resign myself to cut my hair so I could wash my scalp more often but I wanted to give myself one more chance and I happened to stumble upon Sulphur 8. This product works like a charm! I use it after every wash and I can keep my styles in for 3 weeks with little to no itching. Some people hate the smell but I love it.

the as i am dry & itchy scalp line helped me a lot with my dry scalp. i used the co wash but i hear the shampoo and oil treatment are really good too!!

‘ 7:45, have you tried Indian hemp hair and scalp treatment. The grease is affordable and great for applying especially when you are wearing a protective style for weeks or months.

Every damn time I do my locs I consider locking them up, and the happiness and gratification I get from my afro and successful washdays keep me from locking them up. I have minitwists now and the number of times I've contemplated leaving them in as sister locs hehe, totally relate! Your hair is too cute🤩

For dry and flaky scalp, I understand that you can use Listerine, for it was originally developed just for that purpose. I have also used Scalpicin, which works great. With using either of these, you do not have to do anything extra. Just apply to the scalp using the applicator bottle. Good luck! By the way, your hair looks MARVELOUS!

I've been SERIOUSLY contemplating micro/sister locs for the past couple of weeks (my Pinterest main feed is proof lol)!!! But then I remember how much I like to see my hair open lol. Though, if microlocs can be combed out with minimal breakage then I just
