There is a current outbreak at my in-laws nursing home. Their population was at 95% vaccination. The infected residents only had mild infections.

I'm not a doctor and I'm not pretending to be an expert on this. But based on the data that I've read in the media, we know that although the transmission rate is much lower among the vaccinated population, we also know that the vaccine doesn't prevent asymptomatic infections, especially with the Delta variant. Anti-vaxxers will see this video and say : "See how ridiculous it is? We vaccinate people and they also have covid cases!". What public health authorities should focus on is the fact that vaccines prevent 99% of hospitalization and death cases. Most new hospitalization cases are among unvaccinated people. Obviously, if the virus is only spreading among vaccinated people and there are no hospitalization and death cases, the virus becomes harmless.

CNN is the last place I go to for truth on any subject.

Fully vaccinated and currently infected with COVID. I spent the first day in bed but quickly started feeling better. These vaccines are amazing. I am happy I got it.

If you are vaccinated and exposed to a Covid positive person, can’t you be a carrier and pass it on to someone else? So why are you not having to quarantine?

Why would staff be permitted to work in a nursing home, endangering the elderly. You can still get ill with Delta even if vaccinated. They should be fired if working as a health worker and not vaccinated.

If there was any danger to the vaccines, the health insurance companies would be raising the premiums of every one who got vaxxed.
They aren't doing that and they never miss an opportunity to make people pay more. Tells you all you need to know.

Where I live there are six schools that opened back up July 31st. Two days into the school year we had a total of 7 classrooms across the system that was sent home to quarantine. As of today, August 11th our High School have completely shutdown and gone virtual. Oh by the way I'm in Georgia where's there's no temperature checks or mask mandates for students but a the staff is required to check their temperature and recorded in a daily log. This is the dumbest bs I've seen yet. I'm 63 with 26 years of service in the system and put in for retirement and social security Monday. Enough is enough, I can't control what the Governor nor local school board does but I can control what I think is best for me.

This is not getting better and it's not going away any time soon. Perhaps it is time to start building CoViD wards, we have to separate this from normal hospitals before it goes beyond the point on no return. We are rapidly losing health care workers and first responders to the disease, work fatigue and PTSD.

Here for 2 months we had less than 10 covid19 cases & 4 hospitalizations in my county of 220 thousand when the pandemic started & then "they" changed the definition to covid related. Overnight the cases shot up. Any symptoms that covid people have makes your sniffle, headache, cough, sore throat + a covid related case.
