Obamacare ACA And Marketplace health insurance...all the same thing! Learn the pros and cons of Obamacare for the individual health insurance shopeer.

Medicare and health insurance answers for you without any of the pushy salesy stuff.

I'm an independent broker based in Missouri. Nothing makes me happier than sharing the tid bits of knowledge that I know about the medicare and health insurance world so people can make the most informed decisions about what plans they need.

I have two amazing boys (currently ages 9 and 11) and we play a LOT of baseball. When I'm not helping my clients or making videos we can almost always be found on a baseball field somewhere in the midwest.

Thank you so much for watching my goofy videos. Hopefully I've helped answer any of the questions you have and I would be ever so grateful if you would like, comment or subscribe to my channel.

I retired at 62 and my wife and I went on a bronze Obamacare plan. We didn't pay one penny for premiums for the three years we were on Obamacare. An advantage of the HSA plans is you can reduce the income that applies towards the subsidy calculation. You can also contribute to a traditional IRA to lower your income. I also stuffed my HSA before I retired so that I could cover an emergency.

Healthcare insurance is a cornerstone in anyone's financial strategy. Ensuring comprehensive coverage not only safeguards my well-being but also protects my hard-earned investments. Big ups to everyone working effortlessly trying to earn a living while building wealth. I’m 63 and my husband 65 we are both retired with over $5 million in net worth and no debts. We started late but saving and investing lifestyle made it possible for us this early even till now we earn monthly through passive income❤

The con? Those who aren’t in financial straights have seen huge increases in the cost of health coverage. It doesn’t cover much either but those with a limited income have full coverage with little cost. If isn’t affordable to all Americans. This isn’t fair at all.

talking about negotiating the cost down will they only do that if you don't have insurance and you would want the cost to go toward your deductible wouldn't you

Hi Jo. I know this video is a year old, but the content is still very relevant. I plan to retire in August, and will need to get coverage at that time. I'm 57, so I have a few years to bridge before medicare. I'd like to ask for your help as we get closer to August.

Thank you for this very informative video. I'm retiring at the end of December and have a few questions that I hope you can help me understand. I've compared several plans in my area and Anthem is the carrier. From what I understand, if a person is out of state and has an emergency they can go to the nearest hospital for treatment and will be considered as "in-network." What happens if someone is hospitalized out-of-state for something such as an illness that would require "x" amount of days in the hospital? Would it still be considered as "in-network?" Also, could you recommend an additional coverage type to cover the higher deductibles. Thank you.

You’re cool. Thank you for this.
My main concern in switching is that higher quality doctors won’t accept it and I’ll have to settle for all new doctors. Thoughts ?

If it makes sense for your situation then enroll however leave the other options open for others to decide. Its not going to be good for everyone

Great video! If a 23 year person definitely earns too much to get any discounts, is it still the best deal to get health insurance on the ACA Marketplace? Or should she look else where on the internet for a better deal? We live in NJ.

COBRA single person insurance was $500/mo with lower deductables compared to ACA at $850/mo. If you don't qualify for a subsidy, you will pay dearly for those who do for what is essentially catastrophic insurance.

I have heard that of you live say in Florida for 5 months, ( snowbird) and you go back to your home state ( my case new York as my home base) then if something happens to you while you are in Florida, you would not be covered. Was wondering if that is correct? Thanks for your video

Hi, Do you work with clients in Connecticut? I had heard CT was somehow excluded from agents. Is this correct? Thanks!

What are these "accident" plans you mentioned? What are they and where do you get them? Also, how may I reach out to you for more info and assistance?

Great video. My question - if a person retires after age 59 1/2 but before age 65, can annual 401K withdrawals be used to meet the taxable income requirement criteria to qualify for a health care plan through the exchange? Thank you.
