How To: Install Bike Pedals

The bearded bike man is back to teach us how to install pedals on crank arms, ‘cause you’re not getting anywhere without them.

This clip saved me. Had no $%^&* idea the pedals threaded 2 different ways. Removed the old ones on auto-pilot after one broke, didn't pick up I'd done one clockwise and the other anti-clockwise. Replaced one, could not replace the other (because I was turning it the wrong way). Thought I was going to shame myself by having to take the bike to the bike shop. Watched this and bang, bike fixed and ready to go.

the way I learned was to loosen to the back of the bike and tighten to the front. this works on both sides.

When you give the direction clockwise or anti clockwise you ought to say as you are facing the wrench /hex key.

I think your hex key lines are backwards. He turns opposite the direction he says. Maybe there's just a word missing to say the pedal should rotate that direction when viewed on that side. Other than that, thank you for the help!

Literally don’t want to spend an hour trying to put the stupid pedals back on my bike. I don’t have tools and they were taken off for shipment. There is no key spot on the bolt of them, I’ve been sitting here trying to screw them in

Thank you for saying that you turn the hex key counterclockwise while clearly turning clockwise in the video… sure, there is a clear explanation for why this makes sense, apologies 😂
