In this BMW How-To Video you will learn how to charge your Plug-In Hybrid or Electric Vehicle the right way. BMW offers a charging cable that can be used for charging at a domestic socket. The meaning of the LEDs is explained on the back side of the charging module.
Always make sure that the socket has been checked by an electrician before the first use.

I have a 225xe active tourer and the charge is canceled after locking the door or even after a while not locked… is this a problem?

I own a BMW x1 hybrid vehicle. After charging the vehicle, I don't want it to remain on power after the charge is full. Maybe it won't do any harm, I don't know, but it's not something I want. If I put a socket with a timer and set the time, would it be harmful if it cuts off the electricity at a certain time? Normally, it says in the manual that when the charge is finished, first remove the charging cable from the vehicle and then cut off the electricity. I will cut off the electricity first by using a timer. Will this cause any damage? Or is it necessary? I would be very happy if you answer. Thank you.

I just got my new 2022 X5 and tried the 120 plug. It's giving me FAULT indicator when plugged into the garage outlet or outside outlet. I didn't even plug into the car yet. I thought it would be the outlet problem. But I have no issue with my Toyota charging plug. So now I'm using my Toyota plug to charge the BMW but at half the charging speed. Do I have a faulty BMW charging adapter?

Thanks for these how to videos. Just saved me a mint since you cant use an extension cord, it makes a PHEV into an overpriced and heavy gas guzzling 3 series for me.
