✅ Just remember, when we do base times height, we find the area of a full parallelogram. We need to take half in order to find the area of the triangle.
✅ Something to keep in mind, any side of a triangle can be used as the base. As long as you use the the corresponding height to that base, you will calculate the correct area. The examples in this video were pretty straight forward are far as the base and height (for #2 and #3, only the base and height were provided). You may run into problems where more than the necessary measurements are provided (aka not all of the measurements are needed — like #1 in the video). Again, just make sure to use the base (any side of a triangle) and the corresponding height and you will get the correct area. Problems are set up in many different ways, but as long as you have the formula down, you should be good to go.
