I’m a nurse. So I see tons of wounds. You might add a small bottle of hydrogen peroxide to your emergency kit if your not able to flush a wound with soap and lots of water. I wouldn’t suggest using the hydrogen peroxide in the wound daily but at least initially if it came from a really dirty surface. Neosporin is great.

As a nurse I totally agree with the viewer below Trina. Carry hydrogen peroxide to do the first cleaning only, and Neosporin is best, but I am sure there are other types that are just as good. Thank you for sharing.. and Take Care and Stay Safe.

Hey Katie!! I have gastroparesis and i cant digest so many foids and the list gets longer that i cant eat.. And ppl with gp are same way.. We are each different on what we can and cannot eat.. Water is one thing i can only tolerate maybe 4 oz a day.. But yet i can mix lemonade or put fruit IN it and i'm ok... Heal quickly!!!

In 2016, whilst in Malawi traveling, my husband scraped he’s knee on the Land Rover’s bullbar. We cleaned it, and slapped some ointment and cleaning stuff on it. Because the medical industry in the rest of Africa is SO appauling, we always have a super stacked first aid kit (actually three of them) in our Land Rover. My husband’s knee got so bad, that in Zambia we were contemplating having him medically evacuated - until we got to see an African Dr that saved the day. Best tip - clean any wound with warm water (if you have) and salt. Best antiseptic. Also - if you can, stock up on Primapore plasters - they are THE best. Hope the soreness subsides a bit.
