In this video, we use the general equation for terms of a geometric sequence:

t_n = ar^(n-1)

to find the first term a, the common ratio r and the nth term of a geometric sequence for a known values of the third term (t_3 = 100) and 5th term (t_4 = 400).

thankyou for your great explanation sir, but when you crossed out the zeros of 400 and 100.... should i crossed out mine like: 48 and 1536, should i cross out the 8 and 536...? to get 4 and 1?

I don't really understand can you make just 1 video for finding the first term of a geometric sequence please? Just like this for example: Find the first term of a geometric sequence whose fourth term is 1000 and whose common ratio is 5. Please ❤ Thank you
