For pre DOG, i highly recoomend you getting the Calamari's Lament summoning staff. You can obtain it from killing colossal squid in the abyss. In my playthrough, it dealt more consistent and high damage compared to the ethereal subjugator

FYI don’t use absorber for moon lord, if the true eyes hit you they die and soft lock you in the fight

For the endgame I'd highly recommend Ares' Exoskeleton for summons and the Profaned Soul Crystal accessory. Brings your total minion slots up to 22, meaning you can run all 4 cannons on the Exoskeleton while still having 10 free slots for the Profaned Soul Crystal to function. Add the Flamsteed Ring to that, with a non-summoner held weapon to be able to use the mech's integrated weapons and any whip to swap to for proccing and keeping up your dmg/profaned buffs, and you're pumping well over 1m DPS.

Just a little tip but for pre-skeletron the flask of fire is better due to skeletron's immunity to poison

Started a Infernum summoner playthrough a few days ago and skeletron is my first wall.

Flask of Holy Flames is completely pointless because the Statis' Blessing and it's upgrades already make all minion attacks inflict Holy Flames already. Also so does the Profaned Soul Artifact.

The fuel cell bundle from plaguebringer can literally mercilessly destroy every boss in the rest of hardmode including moon lord lol

the hardest fights by far is DoG and Supreme Calamitas. Everything before Post-Moon Lord is easy-mid. Polterghast and Providence is hard but not too bad. Also do not fight Old Duke, he is just not worth the hassle. Acquatic Scourge is also not worth fighting till after Plantera. For Mechs, do Skeletron Prime first, then Twins, then Destroyer since Prime and Twins is easier. Also for Yharon, your best friend in phase 2 is ram dash spam XD

Edit: For Exo Mechs, do the Exo Twins (Artemis and Apollo) and Ares combo. It's the easiest.

i know this video is quite old but i would like to say this guide is phenomenal for knowing what to get and where to go
however, calamari's lament without tenyru reached far higher dps on DOG, just for anyone whos having a bit of trouble
