The Truly Sad thing is if they had to live back then, They'd be BEGGING to Return to our time with all its precieved problems... They look back and think WOW Those Were tge "GOOD OLE DAYS".. When for mist of us, Yes It Was Simpler... But it really wasn't all that good.. A Hundred years ago (1914) my Grandfather who was born in 1907 had to quit school before he learned how to read as his father disappeared while working on the railroad. Grandpa went to work at age 7 in a coal mine, a tobacco field and cotten fields to support his Mother and older sisters...Their was no SSI, SURVIVORS BENEFITS, AID, ETC...
OH YEAH THOSE WERE DURELY BETTER TIMES... Grandpa was 72 when he died and 70 when he finally learned how to read...something he was ashamed he couldn't do the majority of his life.
