If you have first gen you don't need to buy this ally x but if you don't have one ofcourse this is the best to buy for a first timer gaming handheld.

the only con is setting up windows. its not hard but its not fun hehehe. other then that when u have update everything from storage to patch and find you setting ect. then this handheld becomes a beauty

I enjoy my Ally X. Obviously the battery life is great but something about this Legion Go I just can't put down. Has 8gb less ram, smaller battery, yet I get the same performance. Not to mention that beautiful big screen 🤷🏻‍♂️ I'll keep my Ally X but it won't get much play 🤣

And here is the shocking truth from the reddit owners forum of rog ally and the x version: Volume buttons seems to periodically stop working

Command centre becomes laggy/unresponsive in game. I would click to change to desktop mode/game mode and nothing would happen or very delayed. Same thing with different performance modes.

Resolution scaling. I thought I could change between 720/900/1080p whenever on the original Ally and everything would automatically adjust in game. Now it seem I have to setup the settings in game ahead of time otherwise if I change from 1080 to 900/720 during a session, everything is too zoomed in.
