This video is a quick one I put together (don't mind the vertical video!) about what I look for when looking to buy a used boat. We will go over the trailer, the outside of the boat, the interior, the surf system and all of the features.

Hi Chantel, my wife and I have gained a significant amount of confidence as new boat owners from using your tips/tricks. The seller of our boat was trying to walk us through trimming, but his knowledge ended when we started asking questions. If that's a training in the works, we'd love to see it! Sincerely thank you for all the work you've put into these videos. They're having a genuine impact!

Thanks good info. You always explain things so good. Hey, idea for next video— how to anchor in shallow water for a beach day

Are you still at Active? Which store? I want to chat with you about getting our kids set up as well as helping us maybe retro fit our Mastercraft 2003 X2 so i could feel comfortable slalom skiing behind it! Does active or you offer any lessons for ex slalom skiing moms as well as for kids ages 14 and 9 to learn anything on the water? We bought a boom but unfortunately my husband says it’s too much of a pain to take on and off since you cant leave it on once you put the boat into the trailer (im tempted to just take a reciprocating saw and cut the pole off so it isnt an issue! 😂). We live on the Columbia River right near the Port of Camas Washougal. We don’t have a dock but do have a driveway to the water. So as long as the boat is parked on the trailer on the beach (and anchored down just in case water comes up overnight) we should be able to leave the boom on. I just want to help our kids and any friends be as successful as possible so its as fun as it can possibly be! But i could definitely use good advice so that becomes a reality! Btw maybe its be but i kind of think our boat sucks for water skiing - hoping maybe you and or active might have some suggestions…or maybe im just too our of shape and practice since having the kids!

Any advice for buying a boat in the winter? I’m ready to pull the trigger, the boat is in excellent condition, but I can’t take it for a test drive because all the lakes are frozen and it’s winterized.

Great Video.
Do you ever come all the way down to Lake Havasu, Lake Mohave, Arizona or Laughlin, Nevada area?
Casinos on the river in Laughlin for some evening fun.

Newbie here. How much does dealer typically charge to take a look and make sure it's ready for the water?

Did you really say 5-10 years for trailer tires? These boats and trailer tires because of the weight are only rated to go 2-3yrs MAX! Never run trailer tires past 36 months and even less if you are towing a lot or your trailer is outside with direct sunlight thru the year.
