Interestingly enough, there was a one-armed player in the MLB in the 40s named Peter James Gray, but he was an outfielder. He would catch the ball and then tuck his glove under his arm, then take the ball out and make the throw. He never hit any home runs, but he was actually not a terrible hitter. There's also a one-armed catcher named Luke Terry who does not play professionally but is still pretty fun to watch.
