Reading on Amazon Kindle E reader vs Amazon Fire Tablet

I have both an Amazon Fire and Kindle and both have their perks and faults. With the Tablet, I like that I can upgrade my storage using a micro sd card. Not that it's needed, but the extra storage is nice to have. It also works a little faster, more snappy vs kindle unless you buy the newer ones for $200+.

The good things about the kindles that I prefer is that instead of a bright LCD, it uses e-ink technology which is better on your eyes and reduces strain vs a tablet or phone. If only they added a SD card slot and moved the power button to the top of the tablet, it would be great. I don't mind the 2018 & 2021 Kindles, but if they upgraded the supposed upcoming "Color" varient with that in mind, I'd definitely purchase it.

All these reviews miss the fact that there is a blue light filter on the tablet. Can't believe that so called experts including those from techradar don't know this

I have both a Paperwhite and a Fire HD 7. I think the Paperwhite sucks in all but weight and battery life. I think the HD 7 is far superior and can't understand why people rave about the Paperwhite. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on the Paperwhite.

The tablet is a better device but the Kindle is a better eReader. That is it's puroose so it's definitely pretty great at doing it. Yes it's slower than a tab and doesn't have touch screen but the battery life is unbeatable and the e screen won't strain you're eyes.

The tablet is really great in all aspect except for reading in long hours. That is because of the backlight that will strain your eyes. Unlike the kindle which is using a different kind of lighting

You didn't show the options when a word is selected. Will the fire tablet give the option to pronounce the selected word like on ios ?
