Sugar Free Chocolate / Baking Chips Review Showdown: Lily's, ChocZero and Bake Believe

In this video, Courtney and I review 12 different chocolate / baking chips from three different manufacturers: Lily's, ChocZero, and Bake Believe. There were some clear winners and losers. Also, the carb info is listed below the time stamps.

I purchased each of these products, with the exception of ChocZero, who agreed that I would be providing a fair an honest comparison with the other brands.

A couple of Lily’s Specialty chips with nuts can satisfy need for sweets. Butterscotch paired with peanuts approximates a Payday bar, and the Salted Caramel with a few pecans makes a good turtle substitute. Makes a decent quick snack.

On a note regarding budget concerns, Bake Believe is a dollar cheaper than Lilly's at my local Wal-Mart.

While I haven’t tried the mint, I have tried the peppermint chips they had during the holidays which I assume are fairly similar. The cold flavor along with the cooling effect of the the erythritol created the “fennel effect” you are feeling. It was a lot less after melting and mixing with different ingredients, for example I was able to create some bomb ass keto York peppermint patties using them.

First off, I agree with an earlier comment that Courtney's ombre hair color looks fabulous on her! And she/her hair looks great with the rust colored cowl sweater she's wearing.
I love when you two partner up in doing reviews. You smile in general but you smile moreso when she joins you.

Someone gave me a bar of the Lily's white peppermint chocolate for Christmas and it was so, so good! Unfortunately, it's only a limited seasonal flavour and it's sold out everywhere here in Canada so I haven't been able to get more. Very happy to hear that Lily's did so well in the taste tests, since ChocZero and Bake Believe are impossible to get on this side of the border -- now I don't feel so deprived, ha ha.

I took my candied pecans and pulsed them to crumbs, added egg whites, spread flat on parchment, used ruler to shape into small bars and baked them.
When cooled, I sandwiched them around a sugar free peppermit patty and it reminded me of the girl guide mint cookies.

We stopped using anything Erythritol in 2020. It spikes all of our blood sugar levels. BOO! I remember going over all the ingredients in Lilly's specialty bags in Walmart and how sad my girl was to put it back on the shelf. Bocha is the ONLY sweetener that doesn't spike our blood. Ugh. We REALLY wanted those butterscotch!

This was so great! I have used the Lily’s chips and I could not agree with you more - their white and dark chips are my favorite. I have yet to try ChocZero and had never heard of Bake Believe until today. Thank you so much for your open and honest videos.

You were so right about the bake believe white chocolate chips. I bought some today because Walmart was out of the Lilys brand. OMG the erithytol was too strong and actually melted leaving my cookies chip-less. I will not buy them again. On the other hand the milk chocolate chips by baked believe were good. We love those Lily's specialty chips. The salted caramel reminds us of a Rolo. Their peppermint (not the mint chocolate) flavor was really good to us too!
