I think that of all the reviews I have seen, this has been the BEST review - I am between the S8, Z8 and Giga6 - not sure what to do!

A few years in automatic espresso machines and still no definite answer on 3 key points for me:

1. Which brand/model has the best built-in grinder in terms of fineness
2. Which machine brews at the right temperature (all machines I tested in comparison with Krups are lacking flavours, they are producing under-extracted shots...)
3. Best overall usability: on start and turn off auto rinsing / seal the bean container lid / good display UI / cup LED lighting, etc...

Basically what is the best bean-to-cup machine in terms of a good espresso shot / closest to a manual machine paired with a good grinder.

Great comparison! My 2 cents as follows: I had purchased the Z6 from Costco, the grinder failed on it within 18 months, averaging no more than 2-3 cups daily usage. Since Costco took it back no problem, I purchased another Jura model from them, the S8, they were no longer selling the Z6 at that time. The S8 was priced the same as the Z6 that I had purchased 18 months earlier. I've been using the S8 for about 2 months now and not had any issues. But I'm worried because the S8 is way lighter duty than the Z6. The S8 has smaller reservoirs, cheaper and thinner plastic, when it flushed the mechanism uses a lot less water. I really hope I'm wrong and that the S8 stand the test of time, but I was pretty disappointed at how the S8 was designed in comparison to the Z6.

Is the coffee dispenser next to the milk Frother produce same coffee as the middle one? Do they both have PEP technology?

I also wonder what is the best espresso water to coffee ratio on juras. Hoffman says it’s 3-4:1. What’s your take.

Great video. Question can i use the RO water into the BWT filter? I learn from you that Straight RO is bad for the machines and since you recommended the BTW filter I was wondering if I can do that. Put Reverse osmosis water into the BTW water pitcher? Thanks

Jura S8 also comes with SmartConnect (you said it doesn't). And also - with filters you still HAVE to descale you coffee machine. Not as often as without it, but still you'll have to at some point.
