Have had the Miele, Australian version, and far and away the best coffee machine I've ever owned. From stovetop espresso to full manual Italian made ones, this German powerhouse, made in Switzerland, is amazing. 6 coffees a day for 3 years and hasn't missed a beat. Easy to clean, programming does take time, but you can tailor everything to your needs. It's amazing! Wouldn't buy anything but another if the need ever arose. Which I doubt it will as every other Miele appliances we own that's Miele has been faultless. Simply amazing machines. #Mieleforlife

I only saw the review as soon as today but already ordered a Miele 6150 - and hopfully made everything right. One point to mention is the hygienic aspect as the MIELE has a removable brewing unit. I already own different (partially high end) models from JURA (Impressa Z5, Impressa C6 and others both at home and in my office) and they all have in common that very unpleasant time intense mode of cleaning.
Additionally 2 machines broke down despite the optionally attachable descaling cassettes with severe issues. What I´ve learned from an JURA maintenance service technician is that they have to be descaled manually despite the installed cassette (at least with our very calcareous water in the south of Germany) - but if the cassette is activated in the menu - the machine does not warn You any longer when descaling process is advised after a certain amount of cups.
So in the end after some SAECO models and the recent JURA ones - I´m ending up with MIELE - well, we´ll see how it works.

Good review and I enjoy your channel. I concur the programming on the Miele is a little clunky, I think they really could have made that a bit more intuitive. Small correction, the Miele is also available in a stylish grey color in addition to the black and white. As a humble suggestion, I would have really enjoyed seeing a comparison of the milk abilities since that's probably a pretty big reason why a person would invest this much money in a high end superautomatic. A head to head comparison of the quality of steamed and frothed milk would have been very interesting to see, possibly with a full video of the entire process. I was blown away with the quality of the milk products in the Miele but to be fair I haven't seen a Jura so it would have been very interesting to see back to back. I also think a run down of how many drinks you can make before you have to empty the trip tray/basket would be interesting. Also the general impression of "quality" of build and warranty coverage of the machines. I know the Miele units are actually made in Switzerland and have an exceptional reputation for quality and customer service, but I have no idea about the Jura. Thanks for the review though! It's always nice to see the more "mid" units compared than just the high end units (IE: CM6350).

2:49 Right off the bat I notice that the Miele isn't user friendly if you aren't fluent in English.
What other languages can you set the machine to?
English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Arabic would seem the bare minimum to me for marketing in the USA.

I have 6150 and it ask for water always when the tank is nearly empty so there must be some sensor for it :)

This is silly, but I always wondered how to pronounced "Miele". I had a Miele coffee maker twenty years ago. It's was what made me never go back to average coffee at home.

Why are you comparing an $1, 799 Miele to a $1, 399 Jura?
The Jura E8 would probably a fairer comparison, although it is almost $200 more than the Miele CM6150.
