I remember during my high school summer vacation I’d come home after hanging out with my friends. I would turn my Xbox 360 on play some halo 3. Once I felt sleepy I’d turn on season 1 episodes 1-3 of Futurama and fall asleep. Now everytime I watch those episodes I get a nice cozy feeling.

1:23 This is actually such a good joke. It's true, so often only one guy will get all the credit for the accomplishment and get hailed as a legend while the rest just fade into obscurity and or are never heard of. I never even thought about the rest of his crew that undoubtedly helped him.

i always thought how odd that robots in the 3000s have human personalities and emotions but still retain only their basic needs, like how Bender only drink because it's his fuel and he only needed as much space to park himself to call home

2:40 replacing them with extremely similar looking people but with subtle differences is one of my favorite cartoon show jokes. I love to look for the differences. Many shows have done it I think rugrats did it once.

One thing great about the jokes in futurama is that they make you wanna watch the next scene / rest of the episode

Idk if other people mentioned this but Leela is actually a really good female protagonist. A tough, independent girl boss who is also capable of exhibiting a lot of emotion and character. But I've never heard of her being hoisted as an example of progressivist/feminist role models.

People often mention Ridley from Aliens but not much of Leila.
